Skeleton shrimp (Caprella sp.) are truly alien. They are tiny, and it is only when they are viewed at high magnification that one starts to see how amazing they are. Look at those claws! The cloud around this caprellid's torso is a ball of baby skeleton shrimp. They have clustered around the shrimp that their mother has caught, and are devouring it. Torpedo Alley, Komodo National Park, Indonesia.
