  • A common egg cowrie (Ovula ovum) feeding on a leather coral at night. Torpedo Point, Horseshoe Bay, Komodo National Park, Indonesia.

  • This was an incredible find. These three sea slugs are Phestilla sp.—the first anyone in our group had ever seen. They are almost perfectly camouflaged on the coral upon which they sit, and are laying egg spirals as they move. Only the strobe light at an angle makes them pop out enough from the background to be noticed. Photo taken at Hot Rocks in Sangeang, Indonesia.
